Caio, Brazil, Age 16 (Aug-Jan)

Caio is a calm and friendly young man who is looking forward to learning and experiencing many new things in America. Caio loves to skateboard, swim, play soccer, and spend time with his family and friends. Caio is looking forward to making many memories that will last a lifetime.

Charles, Brazil, Age 15

Charles is excited to embark on his journey to America for a wonderful experience. Charles is an active young man who participates in Mix Martial Arts, and plays soccer and basketball. In addition, he enjoys listening to music, watching movies, and traveling. Charles is looking forward to meeting his American Mom and Dad and to make many wonderful memories!!!

Dat, Vietnam, Age 16

Dat is a responsible, honest, helpful, trusting young man who is goal-oriented. He is an A student and one of the most active students in his class. Dat approaches learning in an academic manner and knows how to manage his time well. Dat enjoys playing soccer, swimming, surfing the Internet, and taking care of his younger brother.

Douglas, Brazil, Age 17

Douglas is a nice looking boy with a great smile. Actually he is known to always smile. Douglas is very responsible with his studies and he loves going to school. His teachers say he is an excellent student with a good English vocabulary and is not afraid to speak. He is very athletic and participates in soccer and swimming.

Fatih, Turkey, Age 15

Fatih is extremely happy about coming to the USA as an exchange student. As an A student, Fatih believes school is very important, and his favorite subject is math. For fun, Fatih enjoys playing chess, soccer, and billiards. With his friends, Fatih enjoys going to the cinema. At home, he helps his mom shop for food and also he helps to prepare the meals. Would like to try sports.

Guannan, China, Age 16

Guannan goes by "Dunk." Dunk is an excellent child: kind, helpful, active and responsible. He is an A student. Dunk loves to invent things and has taken part in several creative invention competitions and has won some awards. He currently has two patents for his inventions. He has a dream of establishing a costume brand of his own. Dunk likes to play basketball and is considered his team's elite. He also likes to play tennis and badminton. Dunk loves to travel and has been many places to experience the different cultures.

Gustavo, Brazil, Age 15

Gustavo is a healthy, intelligent, sensitive and friendly young man. He is a B student, is always polite and follows the rules of the school. He is very active and involved in the classroom and is determinded to do well. Gustavo has an excellent English Evaluation stating that he speaks and comprehends in English very well. Gustavo loves skateboarding and playing soccer. In his free time Gustavo likes to be with his friends and go to the mall, watch movies, go out to eat and go bowling.

Hanran, China, Age 16

Hanran is easygoing and outgoing. He is a very friendly and helpful student in his class and everyone is his friend. He loves to make them happy and he's happy when he sees a smile on their faces. Hanran earns all Bs and is highly evaluated by his teachers. He is a diligent, creative, adaptive student who is always willing to take a challenge. He does have an advanced level of English. Hanran loves basketball and watching NBA.

Hongye, China, Age 16

Hongye is a warm-hearted, optimistic, and independent boy with a sunny personality. He is very close to his parents and they talk as friends. Hongye is an A- student and likes to be active in all kinds of school activities to enrich himself. He is a well-mannered boy and is clearly motivated to learn English. In his free time he likes to read and travel. Hongye did very well in his English Interview with ISE Personnel.

Jiong, China, Age 17

Jiong is an easy going, open-minded, cheerful, optimistic and social boy. He has a great personality and is growing into a healthy and honest boy. As Jiong lives away from home to attend school, his friends are very important to him. He is a B student who comes highly recommended by his English teacher. Jiong loves sports and participates in basketball. Some of his most enjoyable hobbies are singing, writing, listening to pop and classic music, reading and watching tv. Jiong has two dreams, one to become a great singer and the other, to explore the World.

Joshua, Germany, Age 16

Joshua comes from a nice family where he has one brother and two sisters. He lives in a small city outside of Cologne, Germany. He describes himself as reliable, friendly, positive and open-minded. He like to spend time with his friends and family. He goes to church every Sunday with his family. Music is a big part of his life. he is trying to learn how to play the piano. He is very interested in other cultures and feels that he has a lot of culture to share.

Khue, Vietnam, Age 15

Khue studies at Go Vap High School and is an A student who has always had positive feedback on his character. His favorite subject is chemistry and he hopes to become a doctor to help the poor children that are in the orphanage. Khue plays basketball on his school team and he also plays soccer. He hopes to become a soccer manager and help train players and improve their quality and skills. Khue's favorite food is pho and seafood.

Luis, Ecuador, Age 17

Luis is looking forward to learning and experiencing new things here in America. He is a kind young man who enjoys the company of his friends and family. In addition he loves to play and compete in soccer. Luis is looking forward to making many new friends, meeting his new American family, and making many new memories.

Liuz Paulo, Brazil, Age 16

Luiz is looking forward to learning and experiencinge many new things. Luiz is a friendly young man who loves to play sports. Especially soccer. In addition, he likes to practice judo, go fishing, and to travel. Luis is looking forward to making many friends and meeting his American Mom and Dad.

Manuel, Spain, Age 15

Manuel is looking forward to experiencing new things. Manuel is an outgoing young man who enjoys to travel. He competes in riding horses and has a horse of his own named " Fakir." Manuel loves to ride. Manuel is looking forward to meeting many new people including his host family. He is also interested in surfing and snow sports.

Marina, Spain, Age 16

Marina is thrilled to come to the USA. In school, she maintains an A- average and she plays tennis, soccer, and the clarinet. Music is one of her favorite pastimes, as well as fashion. Marina would love to have a host sister about her age to share some similar experiences together! She has been to the USA and Canada, so she is so excited to come to the USA again. Marina is thankful to her American family for hosting her for a school year!

Tan, Vietnam, Age 17

Tan is an active and agile boy. He likes to join in many activities and is keen on learning new things. He is a very sweet and motivated student who works very hard in class earning all A's. Tan has a strong reading and comprehension of English. He is very well liked by his teachers and classmates. Tan likes to go swimming, play basketball and play soccer. He loves music and can play the organ. Tan is very excited to share the American holidays with his new host family. At home he helps with household chores and helps take care of his little sister. His favorite food is pizza and hamburgers. Tan likes cats and dogs.

Yizhe, China, Age 15

Yizhe goes by Charles. Charles is a kind-hearted, honest, gentle, meek and mild boy who loves to help others. He has a great admiration for his father. Charles is an A student and is very good in communicating, He is eager to improve his personal abilities. He is active and has a great interest in participating in various kinds of activities. Charles loves music and plays the piano. He loves to climb mountains during the holidays, read Harry Potter books and watch movies. He also is interested in ice skating and in-line skating.
