The mission of International Student Exchange is to promote mutual understanding and respect among people of the world. We know by bringing people together from all parts of the world that we can spread understanding and respect among everyone involved with the experience. ISE host families play the most active role in this mission, and we are deeply committed to helping each family cherish this experience. It is with the help of families such as yours that ISE is able to make a difference in the world that surrounds us.
Change lives and change the world by offering a healthy, supportive environment where your student can learn about the American culture. It's a chance to build relationships that will last a lifetime.
What is ISE?
International Student Exchange(ISE) is dedicated to the promotion of world peace and understanding by bringing together foreign teens with volunteer host families. Our programs allow students from more than 55 countries to become familiar with the American way of life by experiencing its schools, homes, and communities. A sincere desire to embrace the "one world" philosophy, inquisitiveness about other cultures, and the ability to provide a loving home as well as room and board are the only prerequisites to being a Host family. ISE offers semester programs, as well as school year programs. ISE can now offer students the opportunity to study at some of America's finest private high schools. ISE works with a network of independent international educational partners who provide information, screening and orientations for prospective applicants. ISE is designated by the Department of State as a sponsor of an exchange visitor program. The Council on Standards for International Educational Travel (CSIET) has consistently placed ISE on its annual Advisory List. Students between 15 and 18.6 years on arrival may apply to our program for a semester of study or the full school year.
